This week we answer,
My child is already advanced and gets "A's" in school, why should I enroll him/her in Afficient programs?
Answer:
At New East West Academy, students enter our programs at a point at their instructional level, where they have some mastery but still demonstrate some skill gaps. Our free diagnostic test determines the starting point, and a more advanced student is usually likely to start at a higher level than a student struggling with grade-level content. After filling in skill gaps and building a solid foundation, New East West Academy students advance to higher grades at their own pace. Afficient's AI-empowered programs make learning highly efficient and help advance students continue to achieve excellent results, enabling them to qualify for accelerated school programs.

This week we answer,
How long does it take to complete a grade in your program? Can students work at an accelerated pace and move on to the next grade?
Answer:
Since students progress at their own pace, the time to complete a grade varies for each student. A highly motivated student can devote more time and progress faster than others. We have analyzed thousands of our students’ data across various grades, and based on that; we realize that it usually takes a few days to a few weeks to complete reviewing a grade lower than a student’s current school grade. It typically takes two to four months to complete a grade the same or higher than the student’s current school grade.

Please refer to the above progress chart of a 5th grader. This student was diagnosed with specific skill gaps in lower grades and was advised to start reviewing those learning skills in grade 2, 3 and 4. She spent about two months reviewing grades 2, 3, and 4 and finally reached grade 5, which was her current school grade. After that, she could complete 5th grade and 6th grade in one to two months for each grade.
Yes, students can accelerate their learning and move on to advanced grades. Leveraged with modern technologies, Afficient programs make learning highly efficient, and through a rigorous assessment, they ensure students are highly proficient in one grade before advancing to the next.
